Ultra+
Our appHypertrophy and strength tracker for iOS and Android with Blaze, an AI coach that reads your log.
No free tier · $12.99/mo · $74.99/yr
The answer to two of the three gaps. Ultra+ has the food log Alpha does not: search, barcode scanning, macros, bodyweight and sleep. And it has Blaze, which reads your recent workouts, your exercise history and your nutrition before it answers, so the question Alpha cannot take is the one Ultra+ is built around.
Where Alpha is better: it names the weight for each set, has 795 filmed exercises against roughly 500 photo-illustrated ones, includes a plate calculator and exports to CSV. Ultra+ has none of those, costs $12.99 a month or $74.99 a year and has no free tier.
Where it is strong
- Previous set and all-time best set shown on every set
- Blaze reads your workouts, nutrition and bodyweight before answering, and changes the plan only when you ask
- Nutrition journal with barcode scan and macros in the same app
- Volume change after each session and a weekly card built from what you actually did
- A finished first week already in the app from the quiz
Where it falls short
- No web app
- No Apple Watch app
- No program marketplace or library of named programs
- Newer app with a smaller exercise catalog (around 500) than JEFIT's 1,400 plus
- No plate calculator and no data export
- No free tier: a 7-day trial, then paid
Best for: Lifters who have trained for a while, want the number to beat on every set, and want a coach that reads their training and their food before it answers.
